info from WSU Sports Info
PULLMAN -
Fresh off another run into the NCAA Tournament Washington State soccer is set
to get back to work with the release of its spring schedule. The Cougars will
play four times during the exhibition season including three times in Pullman.
The
Cougars will play their first three games of the spring season at home with the
first of the three taking place on March 3. The opening contest will feature
the Cougars against the Crossfire Boys club team from the West Side. After
Spring Break, the Cougars return to action of a pair of games as WSU hosts
Idaho Mar. 23 while welcoming in University of British Columbia Mar. 31. The
Cougs took on the Vandals in the 2018 regular season, shutting out Idaho, 3-0,
in the Battle of the Palouse. To finish off the spring, WSU hits the road to
take on Boise State April 13.
The spring
season gives the Cougars a chance at a whole new look with the graduation of
six seniors in the fall. In total the Cougars have 23 on the roster for the
spring with four starters still recovering from injury. In addition to the
returning players, WSU has a pair of new Cougars among their ranks in the
spring with Liz Weis, from
Carlisle, Pennsylvania, enrolling
early while Madison Carter transferred in from the University of Portland.
With
winter weather possibilities, the location of the Cougars' home contests are
still to be determined.
